I hate it when people say.....

There are phrases that people like to use that I think are just stupid.
-The first one is "more than you can shake a stick at."  REALLY!!!  A stick isn't that heavy and Im sure I can stand in front of what ever your talking about and shake a stick at it, it really isn't that hard.

-Another one is "it is what it is" No shit sherlock.  You don't have to tell me that, it doesn't make it any better.  If it wasn't what it was then what the fuck would it be? Tell me that.

-I hate it when some one says "i would give my right arm" to do something like play the guitar.  Hey ding dong, you may need that arm if you want to play guitar.  Instead choose the drums like that dude in Def Leopard.

-In the news they say "The gunman was believed to be armed" NAH, are you sure??

-He suffered from "an unexpected heart attack", if the dude expected it I don't think he would have been out at the porn shop, he may have wanted to stay home that day.

-"Put yourself in my shoes" I don't think me being in your shoes would help me understand what kind of moron you really are.

-If you are "sweating bullets" you may want lower your iron intake just a little.

-And my favorite one is what my father used to say to me as a kid, "do you want me to give you a reason to cry?"  Oh, you mean that ass beating you gave me with your WWF championship size belt wasn't a reason to cry??? Oh yes by all means PLEASE give me a reason to cry.   I do love my dad, but I thought that was funny.  Till next time.

SABRINA'S RESTAURANT

First of all while writing this entry just thinking about Sabrina's is making my nipples hard.  It is just that frickin good.  I would say the only draw back to the place is the slow service.  I really wouldn't go as far as saying they are slow but it does take time for your fresh, and yes I mean fresh, pasta to be made.  Im not talking "fresh" like other places meaning its fresh out the box and straight into the water.  NO, I mean they actually take the time to make the pasta when you order it, and believe me the taste makes up for the long wait.  You really don't realize it takes so long because they have a byob policy since they do not have their liquor license.  This means you can bring any and as much wine as you want and you and your party can just sit and enjoy your great wine and awesome food.  Now when I ordered I actually left it up to the waitress to pick out my appetizer, risotto, and main course.  And let me tell you, she totally hit it out of the park even though the appetizer was a salad but, it was a salad with prosciutto.  I actually caught myself eating more of it than my wife.  Anybody who knows me knows that I rarely eat a salad so this must be some good shit.  Next was the lobster risotto.  The risotto was even better.  So creamy with so many layers of flavor.  The huge pieces of lobster that just melted in your mouth was just so........no words can explain.  This dish really showed what fresh ingredients can do for a dish.  Everything from the lobster to the white wine just complemented each other perfectly.  Then the main dish, pork shops topped with fresh mozzarella, with a white wine butter sauce that i could just bath in.  It was so good I caught myself just closing my eyes and taking in not only the wonderful flavors but the whole experience of the meal.  I mean if you never just sat and enjoyed a meal like that then you really never enjoyed what you were eating. These dishes excited every taste bud on my tongue, it was like I couldn't get enough of it.  It was like the first time you tried shaved ice as a kid and you just kept shoveling it into your mouth and no matter how much the brain freeze hurt you just kept going back for more.  That is how I felt, no matter how full I was I wanted more.  Then to top it off the cream filled pastries we had was just the cherry on top the sundae for me and my wife.  I didn't care that I just put on 9 lbs, it tasted damn good and I would do again and again.  It's not that you should check this place out, it that you NEED to check this place out especially if you love italian food.  Heres a hint, make a reservation and get some good wine cause you'll be there for a while so enjoy it.  Till next time.

The Villa at Aloha Tower

Ok so I went to the Villa at Aloha Tower.  First let me start by saying this may sound a little bias since my brother, dj doggfather, is one of the DJ's there.  First of all lets just say its a little hard to find the entrance.  Its not really marked but that a minor point.   The place itself is HUGE!!  Its like one big dance floor.  The bars are big and lit up with a cool neon light theme.  The art on the wall is a little random and really doesn't make much sense, but oh well Im not there to look at art, although the decor could use some work, it really doesn't say "villa" to me, it just says cool warehouse. The music, of course, was Awesome and the staff was pretty much ok.  It doesn't seem like they have found their crowd yet.  It was a mixture of all kinds a people, not really what i expected.  I thought it would be a younger and trendier type of crowd but it was like any where else in Hawaii. There is no bathroom in the place, which really didn't bother me as much as most people.  I thought the hot dog lady in the corner was kind of funny, which reminds me there was this beast of a girl there that was pretty much rude to everyone around her, I guess cause she "knows" people at the club.  Anyways the only time she was happy is when she had a hotdog in her hand which I thought was hilarious.  Only after she scarfed down her 2nd dog is when she started having a good time.  Maybe they should put a troff for big people like her so they will all be happy and have a good time.  I know Im not a small person but Im not a dick to everyone in the club just because my brother is a dj.  I still pay for my drinks!!  This place does have a lot of potential I think the owner just needs to get his act together and decide on what type of place he wants it to be.  They shouldn't rely on being the "newest place" on the island, instead work on being "The Place."  And going with weekly promotions with and a radio station that only place a certain type of music is only setting this place up to be labeled as a place for 35 and older crowd.  Hey Im not putting that crowd down, since I am part of that crowd.  Im just saying, If your place is well put together and everything is thought out well then you should be able to in-house promos and bring in a great looking crowd...oh yeah place drop the go go dancing and anything else they just brings in a sausage fest (bikini contest) I think that played out in the late 90's, oh wait maybe thats the crowd their going for......a lot of penis?????  Overall if you want to hear some good music and just go with your friends to dance and have a good time, then this place is for you.  I can't wait to see what they do to this place, if done right with the right promotions I thinks it could be around a while....till next time.

ps.  the 2 dj's (kt and doggfather) are just a few that can really rock a party like a real dj can, all you wanna be walking juke box's should go listen and learn.

Classic Hawaiian Traffic

Alright, driving today and of course we roll up on some heavy traffic on the freeway.  Any of you that have been to Honolulu know this is pretty typical.  However, I wouldn't be writing about it if it was a typical traffic situation.  OK.......first of all the traffic was backed up almost 1/4 mile along the H-1 by the airport.  We suspect that there has been an accident, major road work, or even a suicidal platypus holding a loaf of bread hostage.  But noooooooooooo, when we got up there was there and accident? NO.  Was there road work? NO.  To our surprise there was no platypus.  So what was causing this back up...............3 cop cars parked on the side of the road.  They weren't giving a ticket, they weren't stopping anybody, they were just sitting there on the side of the road.  Everyone and their mothers had to slow down just to see what they were doing.  People can be so dumb sometimes.  Now if they were playing hackie sack with a ball of hard cat shit I too would stop too, but they weren't doing anything.  KEEP IT MOVING PEOPLE!!  Till next time.

Hello Kitty Is STUPID!!!!!

I can not stand Hello Kitty!!! Why in the hell is she every where I look?  It was cute when you were like 9 years old, but come on, your 42 and your still rockin the kitty??  Hawaii has got to be the worst when it comes to this pathetic excuse for "fashion".  People here not only wear the shirts, glasses, watches, socks, and hats.  They also go as far as getting car seat covers, blinged out rings, and even tattoos of the stupid bitch.  Doesn't anyone want to be original? Why are you trying to out due each other when eventually you all start looking the same......like a ding dong that spent way too much money on stupid shit!!  When my wife and I were in LA a few months ago no one was wearing that crap!!  I do have one suggestion, maybe Hello Kitty toilet paper so I can show her what I really think of her.  Be original people, believe me it more fun having people trying to copy you rather than you copying them. Till next time......We will discus the 3D movie craze, why not 3D porno? just askin.

"In it to win it".....Kiss my Ass!!

I was playing Black Ops last night, which is my new crack, and someone yelled out "Im in it to win it!"  No SHIT?!  Who gets into a contest without the intentions of winning? I never heard of some one saying "Im in it to get the crap kicked out of me" or "Im in it to get 3rd place."  This is such a stupid saying.  If your not "In it to win it" then get the hell out of my way cause I want to win every time, ask my wife she'll tell you.  I would nock down a 2 yr. old and trip an old women if it meant I would win.  Its just the way I am.  Im not in it to "win it", Im in it to "kick your ASS!"  Oh yeah, if your on Black Ops add me, muddbutt76.  Till next time.

I finally got off my ass and did it.

I have been told to write a blog for the longest time, mostly from my wife.  I always have something to say and I think Im ready to share it with other people.

Well, lets start off with my love of music.  I listen to everything from country, hip hop, show tunes, opera, and even a little house/techno.  It was my parents that let me listen to anything I could get my hands on and because of that I have developed a love of all music.  This is why I got into dj'ing.  I love spinning music and watching that one person actually feel what I'm playing.  I could actually care less about the hundreds of mindless zombies on the dance floor.  Its watching that one person really get what Im playing. To watch him or her react to a song, turn to me and point and just nod is soooooo awesome!!! Hey Im not gonna lie and say the packed dance floor isn't cool, its just seeing someone love a song as much as you do is really why alot of us do what we do.  Thats were I think a lot of so called "dj's" these days are lacking. They buy a lap top, a hard drive and steal someone elses music and they call them self a "dj".  Fuck that shit!!! These are the ding-dong's that come up with a dj name before they can actually spin.
A real dj can rock a party, a real dj can mix with out the help of a computer, a real DJ does it for the love of music and not because it gets you free drinks and a guest list you can fill up with your cheap ass friends that on come so they dont have to pay the cover.  I will expand on this on my next blog.  Right now its late and I need to calm down so I can sleep.  Shot out to all my real dj's out there.  You know.....The ones that knew what it was like to dig for records, buy a needle, marking the breaks on your records, and lifting heavy ass crates of records to a gig so you can buy more records........till next time.
