ACCEPT OR IGNORE JESUS...HMMMMMMM.

As I was doing my nightly walk I started to think about Facebook and how HUGE it has gotten.  Then I started to think about all the people that are on it. Then about all the people that I never thought would be on it and how they are now the biggest users of it.  That then led me to think of people that would be cool to see on Facebook, but then again maybe not.
For example, what would you do if you came home one night jumped on Facebook to upload your latest photos of food you ate or a party you were just at when all of a sudden there is a friend request staring you square in the face...JESUS would like to be your friend.  Holly Shit!! Accept or Ignore?  Come on people, Facebook is so big even Jesus just might join in on all the fun.  What would you do?  You know you cant ignore him so of course you would have to be his friend.
Imagine all the crazy comments he would leave and how you will always have to "like" them out of fear that he may be banished to hell for ignoring him.
And what about the "check in's" he would leave? Mcdonalds in France 20 min. ago, Slush Puppies in Hawaii 15 min. ago, giving water to kids in Ethiopia 5 min. ago, and so on and so on.  This is Jesus man you know he gets around.
Then he would start inviting you to events like church car washes or some filipino baby's baptismal. You know you cant lie and tell him you can't make it. This is Jesus, he knows your bullshitting. He knows your planing on staying home in your underwear eating peanut butter out the jar while watching Road House on TBS...AGAIN!!
I think the best thing about Jesus's page would be his photos.  Jesus and God throwing up peace signs while hanging out in some night club, Jesus and Marilyn Monroe taking a photo in the mirror together at an LA boutique trying on the latest in fashion. Jesus and Martin Luther King Jr. sitting on the moon with a milkshake.
All in all I think it would be kinda cool to see him on Facebook or Twitter.  Then again maybe it might be a little too much.  I hope Im not struck by lightening for writing this.  It's all in fun and he knows that.  After all he made me so he knows what to expect.  Peace be with you, and also with you, lift up your harts.......Ding a ling a ling.

I'm waiting.......

Why am I sitting in my yard at 9:30 at night? Well let's see...first of all my day was a soso day, which in my line of work is a pretty good thing. Until I get a call from my wife and find out our ghetto ass mother Fu€king neighbors are fighting AGAIN! Normally I ignore it but when it pisses of my wife then it pisses me off. As soon as her boyfriend sees me they both shut up. But this is not good enough for me, it's time for me to put a little fear into them. So now I'm sitting outside waiting for them to get their stank ass laundry so I can "talk" to them. Here's the problem, every time they pop their head out and see me they duck back into their home. That's ok I can wait. I got my iPad and beer. Warrioooors come out to plaaaay. Hey I know all couples fight, just dont wake up my wife, believe me you would rather deal with than her. Peace out...

ALL THE SMALL THINGS. AND NO NOT BLINK 182.

I know it has been awhile since my last post but I do have a good reason.  In fact it will be the subject of this blog.  I just recently lost an Uncle.  And for some reason it has been pretty difficult for me to write about it.  I don't know if it's because it happened so sudden or because I couldn't make the service.  I just know I have been feeling pretty down lately.  Hopefully writing this will help not only me but also you 3 followers I have...haha.

My Uncle Gil was one of those guys that no matter how much fun you were having, when he showed up it was like the fun factor was kicked into overdrive.  And no mater who you were, if you were so and so's girl friend or just a friend of a cousin, he would make you feel like one of the family.  He would lure you in like a marlin with his sense of humor or his kick ass cooking.  And when I say kick ass cooking I do mean KICK ASS.  No...it wasn't anything fancy. It was just that he could take something as simple as a dinner role, in which I still till this day believe his are the best, and make into something that Bobby Flay would drool over.  He was that Uncle that would do stupid things with you so you wouldn't feel like such an ass when you failed.  An example of this is when we went skiing.  I saw a hill that I knew I shouldn't go down but because he went down, and crashed horribly, I went down and did the same. Although we were both laying on our backs in pain we just looked at each other and knew we were both idiots for doing it, but what the hell, it was fun.  Wow, the screen starts to blur up while my eyes start to water up while writing this.  I do miss him, along with the rest of my family.

If this has taught me anything it has shown me to just enjoy the small things.  I'm not saying you should go out and climb a huge mountain to enjoy the perfect sunset.  Im just saying that everyday just take a moment and look around you.  There are specials moments happening around you all the time and unless you stop you will never get a chance to enjoy them.  For me its just sitting with my wife in our lawn sipping wine and smoking a cigar as we just stare into the night sky.  Or playing golf with my father, mother, brother, wife, well hell just about anyone and enjoying the scenery around us. Shit, sometimes I just stand at my office window and watch the children run around and play without a care in the world.  How come we as adults can't do that?  They don't need the fancy phones, ipads, or gameboys to have fun.  And thats what Im saying, enjoy the simple things, the small things, things that you and I take for granted.

So come on people, don't wait for something bad to happen that makes you realize what I have been telling you.  I challenge you...Take 2 minutes a day and just look around you.  You may be surprised.

To my wife, mother, father, bother, my family in Cali. and close friends...I love you guys.

This is my first post from my new iPad and I must say..loooove it! My wife spoils me so much. This last weekend I came to the realization that I'm too old for the club scene. First thing that came to my mind when I walked in was "does the music have to be this loud?". Then looking around and noticing everyone was about 10 years younger and me and that no one else was "rockin" the salt and pepper hair dew. All I could think about was going home, lighting up a cigar, sip on wine, and chill in my yard with my wife. Wow, it kind of hurts when you do realize this but at least I won't be the old creepy guy in the club thinking he's still 25. Man...growing old is a bitch!

MTV AIN'T GOT SHIT ON BABIES!!

Being a DJ here in Hawaii I get to go to a lot of parties.  Everything from 700 guest weddings to even bigger graduation parties.  I have seen a lot of shit.  But I have never...ever, ever, ever seen anything like the "baby's 1st birthday party."  What the fuck man?!  I thought MTV sweet 16 was some outrageous shit, helllll no.  They ain't got nothing on these baby parties.  Yeah MTV the DJ, fancy themes, and of course the expensive gift.  However, Hawaii's baby parties are legendary.  DJ, face painting, cartoonist, photo booths, slide shows, big name local bands, magicians, stand up comics, jump jump castles, water slides, 200 sponsors, hundreds of filipinos doing the electric slide, midgets on ostriches , people getting shot out of cannons, juggling camels, and of corse that one drunk uncle that grabs the mic and makes a total ass out of himself.  And all this just for the kids 1st birthday.  The kid doesn't even know whats going on and is asleep most of the time.  I know parents that have spent tens of thousands of dollars on this stuff.  Why?  I would rather have the back yard bbq, a radio playing some good tunes and that one drunk uncle that ends up saying shit he shouldn't and ends up fighting with someone that had nothing to do with what he was babbling about. You got to love the fact that everyone here does everything BIG! MTV takes some notes on how a party is supposed to be done.  Till next time.

I'll keep walking until I get what I want.

For those of you that live in Hawaii this isn't nothing new but, for others I just want to share whats going on in our lovely state.  Recently The Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) started to picket outside of their work places because, and Im just assuming, over some stupid bull shit.  I don't understand the concept of picketing.  So if big business doesn't give you what you want all you have to do is walk in a circle until they eventually give in?  Wow! Does this concept work anywhere else?  If a student doesn't get the grade he or she wants can they walk in a circle in front of the class room until the teacher changes the grade?  If one person wants sex and their partner does not can he or she walk in a circle in front of the bedroom until their significant other strips off their clothes?  Its seems a little silly ,in these shity economical times we are in, that there are actually people out there that want more from their employer.  Shit, I know people who are unemployed and will gladly do their job for half the pay.  Ok, I may not know all the facts about why they are picketing but, I still think its pretty lame and they should just suck it up and go back to work.  Till next time.

He is taking over....

Every now and then someone comes along and tries to take over the world.  There was Ivan the Terrible, Hitler, Dr. Evil, and now the most diabolic person I know..... Dr. Dre.  This dude is everywhere.  You cant go three feet without seeing his beats logo in something.  It first showed up in music videos like Lady GaGa's Poker Face and in almost anything with Will I. Am.  Then you saw it on celebrities and sports athletes.  Lately it's been in places you wouldn't expect, for example....The move "Book of Eli."  Evidently after a nuclear blast the only things that would survive would be a bible and a set of beat buds.  During the Superbowl half time show, if you look at the stage B.E.P were on it was in the shape of the beats logo.  Tonight on American Idol the logo was on the bottom of the mic they were using.  What the hell man?  Whats next?  Are we gonna see them on diplomats during a U.N. summit? How about the head sets on drive thru workers? Better yet Dr. Dre Beat hearing aids.  I guess I cant complain since I do own 3 sets of his headphones.  Come on Dre come out with a pimp ass gamers head set.  Till next time.
